Yes I am the most awful blogger… I cannot seem to keep this thing updated. There has been a lot going on so let me see if I can sum it up quickly.

Last Wednesday I started radiation. It is a simple process requiring me to drive to a location near my house, swipe a card letting them know I am there, get called back over the intercom stystem, drop my pants to my thighs and scoot my undies down some and then lay on a diving board sized table while two guys align a light emitting thing, then they zap me in 4 areas and cut me loose. Very painless procedure and is WAY easier then chemo. I have had an upset stomach this weekend and I am not sure if that is due to the radiation or not but it is possible. Radiation will happen everyday for another 20 more treatments (four weeks).

Friday night we had some majors storms come through. We went to bed to the sound of major thunder and to the intense light from some lightning. Dogs were cozy in the garage and Amy woke up several times screaming after some thunder. Shes not used to the storms that I have weathered (get it… weathered hahahaha) and enjoy.

Saturday found the world utterly soaked and saturated. Good thing I had mowed the lawn Friday because things wouldn’t dry out for a couple days. Saturday afternoon was a gorgeous day so after a good Sermon and some lunch I promptly took a nap = the best thing on a Saturday afternoon. Saturday night we went over to a friends house and had some super, good conversation and then some board games. I did not get to sleep ’til about 12:30 that night.

Sunday I had to be up at 7:00 in order to be at a families house at 8:00am. The family bought the whole 8-10th grade classes at an auction to do some yardwork. They were auctioned for a fundraiser to send them on a cruise for their classtrip. We worked hard in some woods just behind the house for 4 hours. Doing some underbrush work, fallen tree sawing, all kinds of stuff. It was intense and it was the most physical work I’ve done in a long time… and it felt GOOD! Yes I was achy, tired, sore, beat up but it was wonderful to use my body again.

Today I must run to staff worship and then get class started, so I must run. Have a wonderful day and enjoy!
